Cătălin studies visual and semantic categorization or how we learn to group items into meaningful categories (‘cat’) and how we use them to quickly make sense of the overwhelming jumble of information hitting our eyes every second. Lately, he’s been using real-time fMRI neurofeedback and machine learning to mess with people’s perception.
